Hi!
I am an artist primarily based in Nantucket, but end up all over the place! I am 23 years old & graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a BFA in fine arts, concentrated in photography. I work mostly with DSLR cameras, specifically Canons (70D, 5D Mark 4) and occasionally shoot 35mm film.
As an artist, I am passionate about self expression, creation, the outdoors and connecting with others. I pursue photography as a creative outlet where I work with clients, freelance or on personal projects. I have experience in photography, ceramics, sculpture, painting and mixed media abstract compositions.
Artist Statement:
My artistic identity is developed within the mundane - whether it's the subtle shift in lighting, the way the grass moves in the wind, or the delicate simplicity of a fleeting moment. These simple instances speak volumes about the essence of life, capturing a quiet and emotional truth. I strive to capture those fleeting, everyday moments that go unnoticed, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and emotions are mirrored in the simplest of actions.
In many ways, this practice of observing the subtle moments connects directly to my work in commercial photography, weddings, portraits and travel. Whether documenting a first dance, the energy of a city street or shadows dancing across a surface, I approach these moments with the same intention; to capture their raw, emotional & fleeting beauty. Within the emotional resonance of life’s quiet connections, the unspoken threads that bind us all in shared humanity. Through my lens, I aim to preserve these subtle truths, allowing the viewer to pause, reflect, and find meaning in the spaces between moments.
